HeuCampus - The Virtual Learning Community is a virtual learning solution with a classroom management system that is build upon Instant Messenger (IM) technologies such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, IM incorporates a valuable Presence Management (PM) ability which can determine the locatio nand availability status of a person.

HeuCampus aims to enhance virtual communities within an educational institution as well as provide an interactive and fun learning environment for lecturers, facilitators, researchers and students. Information, ideas and resources can be shared instantaneously through the wireless network.

Students can seek the visual help of their lecturers anytime anywhere. Administrative information like attendance taking, class participation points, student evaluation can also be captured.

Students across different countries are able to form virtual study groups and focus groups where real-time information and data sharing can be conducted. Exchange programs are made possible by the presence of IM technology to build an interactive learning and sharing environment across cultures.
