10th Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG): Nurturing Talents for the Global Community


In July 14th- 18th, HeuLab has participated in exhibition, as part of 10th Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness, held in NTU, jointly organized by National Institute of Education (NIE) ,Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Gifted Education Branch of the Ministry of Education. About 1800 local and foreign delegates from USA, Denmark, Saudi Arabia and Asia Pacific countries, have attended the conference.

The theme of the conference is Nurturing Talents for The Global Community. Due to globalisation, world has become increasingly interconnected. Globalisation unifies people in the world into a single society and function together as global community.The conference centered on how talented youths can play important role within this interconnected world.

In line with the company’s slogan” Transforming Learning, Advancing Knowledge, HeuLab focuses on learning and has long recognized the importance of achieving integration between ICT and education to prepare the next-generation learning  through Heulab solutions.

Heulab’s Gold-winning software, Fun With Construction has inevitably attract the crowd. People were amazed by its innovativeness as digital web-board with virtual construction tools as well as features such as graphing tools, multiple layers and even map reading.  It offers benefits of independent and maximized learning experiences combined with fun and interactivity of rich multimedia. 

Heulab’s digitized personal organizer- Fun With MindBook with note taking, mind mapping, rich media library and calendaring features, has captured some interests too. It was not surprising, as it offers paper notes’ flexibility on Tablet PC, combined with computing power.

And last but not least, HeuCampus,a presence and messaging application, which offers breakthrough from traditional boundaries of class. Intensive collaboration tools such as desktop and screen sharing, white boarding and files transfer enhances interactivity among all learners anytime, anywhere.
