International Confederation of Principals (ICP) 2009 welcomed 1800 principals and school leaders from 41 countries in Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore from July, 6th- July, 9th 2009. Held biennially, the convention aims to bring together principals from around the world to share and learn emerging trends and insights on educational landscape.
The event was officially started with Opening Ceremony led by Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, who underlined the importance of education in today’s rapidly changing world.
“Education is the most vital investment that societies can make for their future. In today’s knowledge-based world, it is the only sustainable basis for progress, for prosperity, for generating growth, and it is also a vital ingredient in building a sense of identity of values, social cohesion of who we are in a rapidly changing world”, Mr. Lee pointed out.
During the 3 days exhibition, delegates had the opportunity to learn and experience myriad of educational products showcased by various companies, including HeuLab- well known for its innovative solutions backed with sound pedagogical foundation.
Participants, especially overseas delegates were impressed with Award-winning software- Fun With Construction, an interactive digital web-board equipped with virtual construction tools for Mathematic, Geography and topography.

HeuCampus , an instant messaging for Virtual Learning Community ® , designed to foster collaborative learning, knowledge sharing and community building, received positive response too. Some participants had the opportunity to play interesting games carried out using HeuCampus’ Whiteboard. The feature, equipped with digital inking allowed a user to smoothly annotate on his screen; whereas another user will receive real time feedback.
