Secondary Resources for Geography Teachers

 

Geography teachers will find the drawing tools in Fun With Construction easy to use. This combined with the ability to copy and paste any image into the canvas allows for content to be imported from other mapping programs or from Google maps in a web page. Once on the FWC canvass, the image can be worked on with our specific mapping tools.

In this exercise students use the rectangle tool in Fun With Construction to measure the surface area of a building roof at their school. using this data and the scale on the Google map, students then collect rainfall data from the meteorology website for their calculations.
